Quote from Lonnie on October 2, 2025, 12:39 PMI'm not sure why Readi Two is 9/2 morning line. She should be one of the favorites, if not the favorite. This isn't going to be a cakewalk for Judy.

I just popped that question to my son. I'm sure he will say yes. I've already researched a hotel to stay at on the way back home on Saturday night. Thankfully, she is in the fourth race, so it should go off before 9:00 PM 😁, and we can make some headway home after the race.
My only fear is jinxing Judy with my presence.

Quote from Lonnie on October 4, 2025, 3:57 PMI am cutting this really really close.
My son, his girlfriend, and I are in a race of our own driving to Cleveland.
I had a flat tire this morning. It was irreparable and they had to order one. We had to wait for it to be delivered.
We were mere minutes from aborting the trip.
As of right now we will get there about 15 minutes before her race.

Quote from Bgtolex25 on October 4, 2025, 7:37 PMHope you and family safely made it. Sorry for the outcome. I thought that she was in great shape at the 5/8ths, but it looked like AMac could do nothing but hold her together to the finish. She overachieved this year and gave you some nice moments along the way.

Quote from Lonnie on October 6, 2025, 12:15 AMThe outcome of Judy's race falls squarely on my shoulders. I jinxed her!
First, a pic of me, Matthew, my son, and his girlfriend as we arrived at Northfield Park:
How I Jinxed Judy
My son wanted to place a bet, and he had $4.00 burning a hole in his pocket. With my assistance at the Teller window, He asked for the 4th race, $4.00 to win on Number 4 (Judy's Moni). And, I just HAD to blurt out, I hope she doesn't finish fourth!
This was the biggest thrill I have had watching any of my horses... Past the 3/4'ers I really felt we were winners. Heart pounding. This was it. We're finally getting into the winner's circle with one of our horses. And to have my son and his girlfriend there would have made it so special (it would have been the most special if Rich and Carmelo were there too... but, they're smarter than me!).
In case you missed it, Judy finished 4th. I'm glad we went. We had a great time. And, after just two races in October, we have already exceeded what we earned in ALL of September.
Now I need the Yankees, once again, to come back from the brink of elimination against Toronto the next three games, or I'm going to be eating jay, and Anthony will be sucking down Starbucks for a few days on my dime.
Let's go, Yankees!!
