Gold Cup and Saucer - Live Simulcast

Page 1 of 2Next

One of these days I really really want to experience the Gold Cup and Saucer.  It's raining (it's raining EVERYWHERE!).  Good luck to all the contestants.  The three eliminations (two tonight; and the third on Monday) don't seem to have a real standout amongst them.  It will be interesting to see how TheStable.ca's horses do.

If you're looking for the simulcast, it's here:  https://redshores.ca/racing/

First elimination (Post 9 scores from the second tier):

Elimination #2:

Congratulations to Save America and all the connections at TheStable.ca and all the partners!  What a dominating performance on a sloppy track!

Good luck Monday for Rock's Shining Star as we tried to get two Stable horses qualified for the final.

Rocks Shining Star had a rough trip, getting locked in this on the rail.  Shook free late to get up for third and qualify for the Final of the Gold Cup and Saucer.

The post positions are set for the 65th running of the $100,000 Gold Cup and Saucer Final, presented by Atlantic Lottery, after the official harness racing draw by the Gold Cup Ambassadors and Atlantic Province’s Harness Racing Commission officials Tuesday evening (Aug. 13) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The $100,000 race will be the final race of Old Home Week 2024 during the Saturday evening card.

Larry Karr has the coveted post 1 rail position for trainer Dean Nixon, who will try to win his second Gold Cup and Saucer final after capturing the race in 2011 with Blissfull Breeze.

Who's your pick to win the 2024 Gold Cup and Saucer?

So, let me get this straight... Save America wins an Elimination Race, yet ends up in Post 8.

Exactly how is this fair?

You're right. Thank you for pointing it out.

Save America can “scream” from the car per Scottie Z, who has driven him the most.  He will again and cross over by the backstretch and not look back.  LET’s GO!

A friend of my had the all time best line about something being “fair”.

”If you want Fair, it comes around once a year.”  But I do share Porcupine’s sentiments.  On a 1/2 mile track, they should draw for PPs 1 thru 3, then 4 thru 6, and 7 thru 9 based on their finishes in the trials.
