Quote from Bgtolex25 on October 3, 2025, 10:43 PMHoly crap. Â I had no idea that âmyâ previous home state team was in the playoff picture. Â So go Mariners. Â Sorry Ed. Â However, I donât have any true blood stake in this, so I will be happy for you if the Tigers win.
There is something special about Yankee fans chanting names in the cold in late October.  So that would be cool too.  Aaron JudgeâŠyou gotta do it in the postseason to be a great Yankee.
And if Al says he is a Cubs diehard, Iâm all in.

Similar story here. Â Grew up as an avid Cincinnati Reds fan during the Big Red Machine era. Â Down to two sports passions. Ohio State Buckeye football (I am an alum, so donât hold it against me if you are a hater) and harness racing. Â LIV golf and itâs on going impact on the PGA has ruined that outlet for me.

I, of course, hated the Big Red Machine. I was at Wrigley the day Rose tied Cobb. Memory a bit foggy, but there was a lengthy rain delay, with most of crowd leaving. I can't remember if he tied record before or after rain delay. He actually stayed in the game and had two more chances to break record. Everyone figured he would have sat game out since next game was in Cincy. Game ended up being called because of darkness. (pre-lights)
I was also at the sort of first night game 8/8/88. Game was rained out after a few innings. I returned the next night for official first game. Wasn't the hoopla as the previous night.Â
