That was a fine race for Zina.  I am impressed by the young trotters in this and Cherrys Girl’s race.  She was taken back and largely hampered by the post, but she closed well.  She is a little undersized but she can do well in the KY Goldenrod level.

@maywoodal Good one Al.  To be fair we just don’t know the buttons the drivers must push (or not) in split second moments on these horses, especially young trotters.  For my money, I think the trainers and staff impact the results more than the drivers.  Not that skill of the drivers is immaterial, far from it.  So my big takeaway is that AMac (and Amy) have better impact by focusing on the training instead of the weird set up that they implement in the Ohio barn.  I can’t tell who is in charge of the conditioning and development.

If it was her AST values being high as AMac said, that can be more of a 21 day recovery.  Bugs me that he said that she would be back in a week.  Just be glad that Eric ran blood on everyone when he did.  Unlike race cars, you can’t just replace a part.  What are you asking for here?
