Titular trainer of the Stable’s Northfield operation

Apparently, I have missed news of a trainer change within the Stable. I see Jason Merriman listed as the trainer on tonight’s Northfield entries. Since I still have a piece of one horse, but rarely watch the videos, can someone update a fellow client on the apparent changes from McGinnis to Merriman?

I don’t recall seeing a title of a video lending to the idea that there has been a change. Or maybe it just happened this weekend or temporary? McGinnis was still listed as the trainer last Wednesday when Manhattan Moni and Blue Ventura raced at Northfield.

Just checked theStable’s client webpage and saw no mention.

I should have used the resources at our disposal as USTA members. Looks like he is serving his suspension from the Diosa De La Danza medication infraction, although the 15 day suspension would be stayed if no appeal and no further similar violations in next 365 days??? So I guess that it is still unclear now that I re-read it. Maybe a stable wide email would be better than leaving it to speculation or having to glean it from a multi-layered and rambling video.

I watched a video last night. First time in a while. Anthony stated that Jason McG was having visa issues. I may be off a bit, but seemed he let it lapse, which previously was supposedly not a big deal. So he will in Canada until it gets straightened out.

So for now Jason Merriman will be listed as trainer.

Was answered in a private message that it was an issue with his work visa, and he is expected back once it is resolved.

yeah, just like you said, which I obviously didn’t read before posting. Thx Al. Let me know for sure if you are going to be at Cumberland. Outside chance that I can make it down there.

McGinnis and Merriman both listed as trainers for todays qualifiers.

They corrected it:

On a side note, Amy's drive was A++

Anthony tried to come at her down the stretch... Amy didn't move a muscle and held him off very convincingly.
