Aunt Lily is a powerful looking filly and seemed to be well within herself if I correctly read Jason’s quiet drive.

She was real good!  I was hoping to see a little bit more from Freedom Hill.

Freedom Hill was fine, first over, hung in there. I hope she races in the Buckeye only this year. Let Lily battle those Burke trotters.

Agree and dip down to some selective fairs to help pay the bills and have some fun if that is where she can win consistently.  Lily looked exceptional, which made Freedom pale by comparison.

I was pleased with all of my horses who trained today, with the one exception, Judy's Moni, who seemed off for some reason, which I'm sure we will hear about later today.

Just once I would like to see AMac sitting at a desk and do his run down videos.  Keep waiting for him to get into a fender bender as he consults his I Pad.  Now I will knock on wood that it doesn’t happen.  I have to still watch the last 3 sets, but the track seemed to be thawing out and getting messier as the morning progressed..

Nice to see some of the 3 year olds.  As I post this, eagerly awaiting the next exploits of Rose Run Bobbie.

From what I saw, it looked like a much smoother ride for AmyMac today.

The horse sure does have a brilliant burst of speed!

MY top 3 list is a little self serving. Because the first two I have shares in and it's the best they've looked so far. The third was sneaky good in my humble opinion.

  1. Aunt Sara- Track started getting heavier in her set. You could see mud on most of them. It also might have been the Invitational of the sets and she came from nearly last to clear and looked good doing it.
  2.  Super Mind- Amy wanted to drive him and ran off on all of them. Also the sire is the same as Purple Aura's.
  3.   Highest Honors- A pacer, ewwwww. Was sneaky good. Out late and in the run out after the wire zoomed by all of them. I'm pretty sure a first year sire Summa Cum Laude. I might even try and buy a share. My roster is all trotters. Haven't had a pacer in years.

No argument from me on that analysis.  It is still too early to tell who will have the best chance to shine come stake season, but I like how all 3 of these like to go by their training partners.  The off track makes it difficult to be critical of any breakers or those unable to find their higher gears if they are wearing the hoof friendly flip flops.
