Prior to DuQuoin, the races were held at Good Time Park in Goshen, NY.

That's when men were men, and horses were horses!  No air conditioning, and Heat racing.  You had to win two heats to be declared champion.  Steve Lobell took four heats back in 1976.  The write-up was even in the New York Times!

Incredible battle.  Apex seems so chill walking back to Winners Circle.  Waiting to see that photo finish.

James having a good day.  Winner with Captain Albano and Miki And Minnie.  4th in Hambo.  I know that we are disappointed with the Oaks elimination, but he belongs with anyone.  You watch any of the top 10 drivers, then you see minimal whip action.  Their hands are connected with the horse via the bit.
