2026 Yearling Auctions

Page 1 of 2Next

As we speak the Preferred Equine Online yearling sale is winding down. Anthony has already purchased 3 yearlings at this point, hip 5, 11 and 45. This thread is to keep track of the purchases and what we think of them.

Personally I was hoping for hip 67 Ugo Hanover, but Anthony only bid up to $12,500.

This was the Perfect Sting brother to Uptown Hanover ($780,000) out of the full sister to Odds On Equuleus ($935,000). The latter being the sire of Odds On Mr Mamba.

I'll be buying a couple shares of #11. I'malovelylady was one of my favorites here. She and My Jazz were the same age and a solid duo in the same year. Hopefully this filly is bigger than Imalovelylady who was tiny but gutsy with a nice kick. She was calm too, not much bothered her. I remember when they bought her at the sale and were taking pics and making a video of her, cars buzzing around her and she just stood there calm. I still like the International Moni's. Seems crazy that My Jazz offspring are over a 1000.00 for a share and this one will go for around 200.00. Told myself when I started I'd never pay four figures for a share. Sticking with that original thought.

I peek in at My Racehorse sometimes. Haven't bought one YET. The new one they listed out of Life Is Good intrigues me. Not a fan of micro shares. But I am a fan of just a one time payment.

My brother bought a few shares. He  was not a fan. This was about five years ago, so not sure how it has changed. Had a few events early on but those dried up. Raffle for paddock and winners circle. He never won. I think he went in on ten horses. Three or four never made it to track. Lots of injuries. No horse ever came close to breaking even. Then again most of the horses I've had with thestable have not either and much more costly with the monthly bills. But thestable horses do race and there is more of an opportunity to watch them race.  I think he was able to attend only two live races.  (He just told me he lost 80%, total investment about $1,000)

Did AMac go to Hanover to inspect in person?

Who snatched up all of the shares of AUDACIOUS HANOVER and DAILYDOUBLEHANOVER?

I put the kibosh on purchasing any of them. My friend suggested buying and selling as soon as Anthony started hyping them.

Good logic.

By the time I looked though this morning they were all gone.

Does anyone remember the prices of the two that sold out?

I bought two shares of DD Hanover about 10:30 am. I think they were 191.00 each. I'll sell you one share at cost if you like. We can just reach out to Wendy.

The email Anthony was talking about in the video today was mine. Looooooooou, Perfect Instead and Prada. I told I thought it was friendly fire, he explained his side, disagreed. It's ok, good people can disagree. I think Perfect Instead is racing Monday at Delaware and I'm VERY excited to see her.
