Not sure what I am missing , but a couple people are selling trying to make a couple bucks. And one is going for a homerun

You always see someone trying to flip some shares quickly

We’ve argued that they should be locked for a period of time, just like an IPO stock.  Since there still isn’t an outward facing business manager running the business, I give up trying to influence for better practices.  But at least locking the shares until the horse has been physically possessed should be common sense.

I would argue that there should be a lockout period for horses on the Private Market that still have shares available on the Public Market.

I think you should be able to sell shares on Private Market even if shares are available on the Public Market. One may want to unload a dog of a horse. If you can't sell, you are stuck with monthly fees for who knows how long.

Maybe someone that's been a client longer than me knows the answer but what's supposed to be the benefit of having the Private Market ? We're always being told harness racing needs more ownership to survive and that Fractional Ownership is part of the solution, but like right now there's probably more than 300 shares listed on the Private Market that no one has access to other than current clients. If everything was available to the public both The Stable and clients could use social media to make others aware when selling shares of horses.
