Beau Jangles

If you haven’t noticed, the 3 year old pacer, Beau Jangles, is now 15 for 15 lifetime going into NA Cup eliminations in 2 weeks.  Trainer, Dr. Ian Moore, is the best.  Always has a smile and greeting for everyone.  Easy to root for.  Are we seeing the next Somebeachsomewhere?  Beau is a paternal grandson of Beach, via his sire Cattlewash.

Beach was bred and raised by Stephanie Smith-Routhaug of West Jefferson, Ohio.  Stephanie and her sister, Senena Esty (Spring Haven Farm - breeder of Tactical Mounds by the way) were nice acquaintances of mine in the late 1980’s when I worked at Hill Farms in Ohio.  In YouTube, search the Somebeachsomewhere story and you will see Stephanie’s contribution to the incredible evolution of the pacing breed.  It was nice reconnecting with both of them at last fall’s yearling sales in Ohio and Lexington.

Dr. Moore has been such a great supporter of the Little Brown Jug over the years.  Let’s hope that Beau keeps rolling and the Jug is a stop in September.  Then onto the Breeder’s Crown at Scioto in October!

I have only been following pacers for a couple of years now, but I have watched quite some replays over the years. Beau Jangles is the best looking pacer physically I have ever seen. I can see Beau becoming the best pacer to ever set a hoof on the track.

Not Bob's best drive in Beau's last start. Might be Bob's last drive on Beau. Parked the mile? Hope he comes back okay. Ugly.

He is suppose to race in the Cane Pace on Saturday. They apparently supplemented him.
I do not think he races back 5 days after that race imo.

If they supplemented him they threw away their money.  The draw is out. 

The Cane Pace is a five horse race and Beau isn't one of them.
