Pete Kleinhans, the Oak Grove track announcer, is also a trainer and is stabled next to the Patalans. Ā He is very complimentary of their work ethic. Ā He has been high on Degas all meet. Ā Degas has certainly come back well.

No usually they get another guy to fill in for Pete when he drives. I do think Pete and Ray are the best and most entertaining broadcast duo in the USA.Ā

If anyone noticed, Steve Cross pronounced Degas correctly in todayā€™s Commonwealth Final. Ā Your welcome. Ā And a good $12,000 earned by the little, gritty filly.

I, of course, can pick third-place finishers very well, it seems. The last two bets I made, including Degas today, were WIN-PLACE bets.
