Not my email.  Trying to relax, remember.

“A bit sick and will miss next week.”  Either omitted or I missed it on the videos and can’t bring myself to rewatching, so I reached out.  That’s all I got back.

"Sick" is what I heard.   What I did not hear (not that it wasn't said) was, "and will miss a week".

colt should have been in the last Preferred sale

lacks speed required to compete

He certainly would have been better served having eligibility to the Fair series, but he was staked to them.  It would be best for the horse to be sold so he can be raced where he can be effective.  There are numerous ones at Delaware this week that won multiple times and made twice the money that just competed at the fair level.

Glad to see Highest Honors  back on the 1/2 mile track and out of Mohawk.  He is back entered on 5 days rest on Monday in the inaugural “Hunter Myers Series”.  6 hole with 2 trailers.  He will have to move forward off the car like he did last night.  Pleased that he relaxed in the pocket once the eventual winner executed the retake.  Good pop on the end and just missed.

By the way, can anyone confirm that the #4 in Monday’s race, Pumpkin Skin, was campaigned last year at 2 by the indefinitely suspended Clegg team?  He had 28 starts as a juvenile.  I thought the Cleggs were operating on appeal, but I haven’t seen them in a while

I have no idea. But 28 starts at two, it's 1-9 it's Clegg.

Yes,that was a Clegg horse. In the first race is another former Clegg horse Worknupalather, also with 28 starts as a 2 year old. At one point last year they both raced on Sept 15th, 17th and 20th. Maybe there should be a set number of minimum days off between starts for 2 year olds.
