More than likely, Northfield wasnât writing a similar class as he is in Thursday at Scioto. Â It would have been nice not to ship the 2 plus hours for a non-stake race and nicer still to have another 5-7 days between starts. Â Then the spacing sets up nicely for Delaware and to the shelf if he didnât qualify for the consolation. Â There is already a handful of colts in front of him that have been shut down. Â By October possibly there will be more, so even a 2nd at Delaware and operating at 100% might get him high enough to justify dropping him in the box.
We will know soon enough.

Â This mysterious illness going thru the barn without temperature spikes and obvious abnormalities. Â That is why you give more time between starts and crank on them in training to see how they react. Â Not happy as it just plays right into what we have seen all summer.
