He bought a couple off of Altmeyer/Wilder.  They all made their first or second starts this week at The Meadows.  Probably over pays, endless supply of cash.  Question or thought .... where would the sport be without him?  Would it collapse since his horses make so many starts at so many tracks?  Or would it better, would other stables have a larger foot print?  My "issue" is his impact on your average horseman.  There's several large stables, but they focus on stakes caliber horses.  Burke dominants the overnights.  I personally think he's bad for the sport, but again, would others pick up the pieces.  Aaaaand, think of the gambler.  Along with those wins are a bunch of overwhelming favorites.  Can't bet on them, can't bet against them. Affects the handle.

Where does Weaver and Bruschemi get all that money from?

TheStable.ca vs. The Burke Brigade

TheStable.ca has 10 horses in at The Meadows (6), and Scioto Downs (4).  Ron Burke has a total of 10 horses entered in those races.

Who's going to be Top Dog today?

The Meadows:

TheStable.ca got off to a great start with a win by Sweet Lake in the TSS.  It looked like they were going to wire the field, but the Burke Brigade closed stronger winning the first part of this challenge by a head.

Both stables had very poor ROI.  The "WPS $$$" represents the payout from a $2.00 across the board wager on each horse.

Who will reign supreme at Scioto Downs?  The money will be more.  The stakes will be higher.  Will the better barn bringing home the trophy?

Stay tuned for the post mortem after the last Next Generation stake tonight.

Deosa De La Danza wasn't good enough.  At least not today.  Sorry to the Partners on the horse.

Burke won this race, so he's gotten a nice jump on TheStable.ca, but the big money is still to come.

It's about to go down... the wait is over.

Let's get ready to rumble!

Don’t want people mad at me, but do you think a better driver would make a difference in some of these races?

Possibly

The results are final, and the winner by a knockout is Ron Burke.

Congrats to Ron on an incredible night at Scioto Downs.

We had a nice time despite the outcomes as we got to hang with a lot of great Stable people and ran into some old acquaintances from 30 + years ago.  Eldorado Scioto Downs will rock the 2026 Breeder’s Crown.

That track is wickedly fast.

Highest Honors raced his butt off and went in 52.4. He will be good going forward in the 2nd tier events.  No shame there.  He is a nice gelding.

Tomboy Strong did not get the benefit of the fractions, which made it impossible to make up ground.

Will have to wait on AMac’s post mortem on what happened with Danny.

From the Meadowlands Timeisonmyside was hopelessly locked in and had to be strangled down because he had no room in the last 100 yards or he could have been an easy 4th in the tough Graduate Final.  He will have his moments for sure, so be patient for another day.

Congrats to the connections on Sweet Lake and Mynameiswainy in the PA Stallion Series.

Gympanzee had a nice win at Northfield.

Haven’t seen the results for Save America yet.

Good night everyone.  See you down the road.  Connect with me whenever you are heading down to the epicenter of horse racing in Lexington, Ky, and we will do it up right.

Haven’t seen the results for Save America yet.

He jogged.  They brought in another pretender from Woodbine Mohawk, Merigo Magic, but he raced terribly.
