Ohio State Fair: 2yo Trotters on Display Today

Mark your calendars.  Tonight there are six divisions for the 2yo Ohio-bred Trotters (three division for fillies, and three for colts and geldings).

There are many Stable.ca horses on display.  Big tests for each of them for sure.  But, this is an opportunity to wipe away a few less than stellar starts to their careers.

Huge test for Judy's Moni.  She's been nothing short of impressive in her first four starts (two qualifiers), winning two divisions of the Buckeye Stallion Series.  On paper she definitely looks like she belongs.  Her morning line is 9/2.

Tomboy Strong, who trained great leading up to the Next Generation, will have her chance of redemption tonight.  She is in a strong field (no pun intended), so that road will be a tough one.  Let's find out tonight!

The Stable.cas horses racing tonight in the OSF:

  • Uncle Danny (10-1 ML)
  • Super Mind (5-1)
  • Judy's Moni (9-2)
  • Emerald Tom (7-1)
  • Tomboy Strong (12-1)

The benefit of baby trotters…don’t break “Rule #1” and good things might happen.  First, the rail hose breaks before the start giving Danny a clean path to the pylons.  Burke’s colt jumps it off in the first turn.  Then Ready Russell could have slept walked his way to the line and decides to give his connections heartburn.  That’s how you sometimes get a “Boom…just like that.”  Congrats to Danny and all the connections for being a good professional tonight.  Let’s keep it going.

I had 5.00 win on Danny. Can't believe I missed the exacta and the DD using favorites. Oh well. 5.00 to win on a 100.00 horse no complaints.

My last two emails to Anthony have been mentioned in videos. Wasn't sure how he would take the one this morning. I was a little critical of his decision to drive after a wreck and driving against the best drivers on the planet. His reply was classy, honest, impressive. Now I feel pressure when I email him. LOLOL
