Scary.  In 1981 my uncle had a line come off in the stretch at Scioto.  The filly raced thru the finish,  because fortunately she was between horses.  Another driver was able to grab on to the one remaining line and they all pulled up without incident.  It was chalked up to human error, as it was brand new equipment.  A few weeks later the same line comes off in a training mile at Washington Court House.  This time there was no company on the track, and the filly flipped over those old, dangerous hub rails. 

I assisted in rigging her up and set the overcheck as she was going to the track.  It was never verified if the lines were somehow defective.  When he was able to pull himself off the ground and stumble to the barn (the filly was already corralled and walked back relatively uninjured), he threw the 1 month old lines into the garbage.

Interesting that Perfect Instead was skipped over in the 2yo video. Maybe because when it was near her turn Anthony was asking Amy if she was attending the Open House and she was skipped over. I still don't understand why he raced her liked that in the last Training Day Live. I called it out in the chatbox at the time. And now she's laid up for a bit. Hopefully she's back by mid summer. Frustrated.

I thought it was because she was being primed as a potential Next Generation horse if the first one fell through.  Or, did I get that backwards?

Perfect Instead broke in the first turn. Lost twenty some lengths in what was close to our invitational. For some reason gets back in the race nearly taking the lead before she tires. Just seems like unneeded wear and tear on her. Especially when he blamed himself for the break. Then the next time she jogs Jason notices something is off with her knees and now she looks to be shut down for a bit. 

 I have a share of Dublin's Ferrani. She's next female up. I emailed him about that. He never wants to go off 20-1 in a race. When they do continuously  he sells them. I understand that. I'm a little lost when in a previous video he indicated like everyone has a good trotting filly. I'm hoping Dublin has a good season but when everyone else seems loaded why bring our second best and pay 80.00 a share just to be 20-1? His reply was Jailbird Jog was 8-1. Timeisonmyside is always a good price. Hard to argue with a guy when he takes both sides of a position when it suits him. I think he should sell the 2yo filly trotter Next Gen entry to someone else if they all have nice trotting fillies. Are we taking a backseat just to promote The Stable on one of Ohio's biggest nights? I'll be there regardless, I still have Loooooooooou.
