In regards to Perfect Instead's training mile I think that big move was totally unnecessary and that  sometimes Anthony's competitive nature gets in the way of things. Can you imagine if one of the other riders made a move like that with one of the babies.

The 2yo video was interesting this week when Dublin's came up. Amy's body language tells me she probably shouldn't be in the Next Gen. She even said to Anthony " 2:01 isn't going to cut it". His reply was she isn't a finished product yet we have a month to go. True. I'm guessing Amac wasn't thrilled with that reply. I wonder how many times in the past they've done a second take if he felt Amy's reply wasn't in line with company policy?? Kiss the ring. I always love hearing Amy's pov. Ed…concur 100%.  I think @niekh said it in an earlier post about showing close to the speed in training that you think you will need.  What AMac should say, “give her 2 weeks to drop to 1:57 or so, then two preps to get to 1:55.  If she doesn’t hit that first marker, then we have time to sell the spot.”

I thought Dublins Ferani was visually impressive qualifying @ The Meadows. She got touched out by a nice looking Vernon Beachy trained Filly -w- Ronnie Wrenn Jr. in the bike. Anthony gave Dublins Ferani a really mild steer, 28.2 kicker to boot.

From the tone of Anthony's video after he qualified her, I'd be really surprised if she didn't go in the Next Generation.
