Looks like Jailbird Jog is in good shape to make the final.  The rest are plausible with good finishes.

There's only one day a year I won't put up with you. Can you beat the Longhorns? Big game at noon tomorrow. Good prelim and passing time for the later races at KY Downs. Love that track.

Speaking of KY Downs. I might try a tournament tomorrow.  Twin Spires. You play 50.00 worth of bets and a 20.00 entry fee to the tournament. Whoever turns their 50.00 into the most money wins. No take out on the 20.00. Have to bet five races on the KD card. No tri's, supers, or Picks of any kind. Most tournaments and the reason I've never played is they make you play races I always have no interest in. This is pretty cheap and who knows?? KD is supposed to have longshots. Opening Day on Thursday favorites ruled the day. Purse structure there is insane. We should put a saddle on Jolene and see what happens. 🙂

I plan to be at KY Downs next weekend. The purses are crazy. My memory is shot, plus usually there with my brother so too much beer. I think my first time there was 2019/2020. Each year less cheap fan friendly. Paved over much of the grass around far turn, started charging for areas that were previously free and jacked up prices on best viewing areas. But i guess good that the demand is there.

I went there back to back a few years ago. Loved it!!! Never went to the tented clubhouse and 50.00 upgrade. Mostly because when I was there it was HOT!!! I could walk inside to the casino and the AC. I liked the fact you can bring in a chair and cooler. Place is empty. Last time I was there they had three one million dollar purses and not 300 people on the apron. Love that!! I also love Keeneland and Saratoga and the crowds that come with it but KY Downs has it's own characteristics that make it unique and really cool.

Only time at Keeneland was the Breeder's Cup, so packed. But looks like it is packed every day.
