From the last time I owned horses before thestable.ca, we (@factlaw and I) were in two partnerships put together by David Rovine back in the late 1980's.

AFTER we sold him, he went on to win the Gold Cup and Saucer in the early 90's.

We did get to see him win a New York Sires Stakes race at Buffalo Raceway in 1988.  Sadly, the purses then were nowhere near what they are today.

Not quite like yesterday.  Maybe the day before 🙂

What I'll never forget is how well we were treated by the Meadowlands.  They had an owner's lounge, which I'm guessing few knew about.  They put out a spread that would make any banquet proud.  So much fresh fruit, cold cuts, and sodas, just incredible.  I loved it when we raced there!
