Yup! The New York Connection will be departing from Long Island, NY at 5:30 AM, with stops in NYC (Manhattan) to pick up Carmelo, and Albany, NY to pick up Rich, en route to Hamburg, NY, home of Buffalo Raceway, where Miss Lady May will make her second parimutuel start in the New York Sire Stakes for two-year-old trotting fillies, after her first scheduled New York Sire Stakes race was cancelled at Monticello Raceway on July 6th.
On the same afternoon, Memento Mori will be racing in the Open Handicap Trot at Monticello Raceway. Given a choice of which race to go to, despite the approximately 16 hours of round-trip driving to Buffalo, it was a no-contest. Miss Lady May won that decision unanimously.
Miss Lady May is the only filly in her race who has made a parimutuel start, and is the only horse to have won a race of any kind.
