@lonnie and @factlaw With all the misery going around lately, I don’t want us not congratulating you for Manhattan Moni winning today with Ronnie Wrenn Jr.

Thank you @bearcookie56 and @bgtolex25. It was exactly the race that he usually falters in, but not today. Certainly having Mr. Wrenn helps, we have a pretty good record with him on the rare occasions he drives for us. But then, he has a pretty good record with everyone he drives for, doesn’t he?

Did the NY connection scoop up a share(s) of Vine Staff? Already sold out.

There was a Lonnie mention in one of yesterday's vid. About The Meadowlands not going dark.

No... I never considered. @factlaw should get lots of credit.  He's the one who pointed out to me that they're racing through mid-September at The Meadowlands.  Then the thoroughbreds will take over for four weeks with all-turf races.  The standardbreds return after that to close out the year.

The flip side of winning his third is that he moved out of the class at the Meadows after earning a lot of checks for his owners.   But
per AMac he will be moved to Northfield in a nw of 4 condition claim group.  Last year that turned into a gettable group, even thru nw of 7 condition claim (Casanova Hall’s run).  Hopefully, it plays out the same for you all with Manhattan Moni.  If the cards play out right, we can road trip up to Northfield during Jug Week and get you that elusive winner’s circle photo!  (I cheat.  If I get a winner then I get a picture even if I am not there.  Just like competing and spending $$ to win ribbons at a horse show.)

Our common horse, Highest Honors, drew the 9 hole in his BSS race on Friday at Scioto.  That poor boy now has drawn 7, 3, 8, 8 and 9 in his 5 stake races
He wasn’t staked to any fairs (?!!?), so I don’t know what the play is between Friday and Jugette Day for leg 5.  Hate to see him in with older horses in NW 2 at a parimutal track or even against some of those 2 year old beasts that Virgil Morgan is rolling into those classes recently.  52 and 53 miles
 ouch.

Anyway, Red Mile today and rooting for the 3 fillies, but especially for    Ed’s Jolene Hall and Zina.

Highest Honors certainly has had some bad draws.  In his 3 starts when not starting from the outside or as  a  trail horse, he has been first, second, and third.  Needs some  racing luck on Friday.

Not unhappy at all with his 4th.

  1.  Closed in 27 flat and weaving thru traffic to pick off 3 competitors
  2. very happy to see how he left from outside post and got a spot mid pack due to gait speed and agility
  3. even more happy to see how he looked relaxed in the hole.  Remember how grabby he was in June.

Question will be what he will be entered into between now and leg 5 on Jugette Day.

I'm looking forward to the damage he can do when he draws inside.  I'm very happy how he raced tonight.

Did AMac decide to keep Heza Fearless Peter?

He is not in Monday’s Preferred Sale.

There is a video from a day ago that I just watched.  I don't know how I missed it when first dropped.

Anthony said that Heza Fearles (leave the last "s" off for Stamina) Peter is definitely NOT a Stable horse.  He felt that if he dropped him into the sale this weekend that he would fetch between $13,000 and $15,000 (USD), and maybe less.

He thinks that Peter can win the maiden, this week or next, so we can add $4400 to the sale price and it will be more palatable.  But, regardless of what happens, Peter will be in the next Preferred Equine Online auction.
