Quote from Bgtolex25 on October 25, 2026, 8:42 AMLonnie, it wasnât âKeenelandâ crowded, but it was well attended on Saturday night. Â If you took all of the people and put them in a traditional oversized grandstand and apron, it would have looked like a 70âs-80âs era big night. Â But here is the kicker, if that were the options for attending, most people wouldnât go. Â Itâs similar to the Jug. Â There are segmented offerings spread around the entire track. Â Itâs a party.
Thankfully, Fox had a 3.5 hour window for 8 consecutive races on Saturday vs. the absurd 3 hour window for 4 races on Friday. Â Plus, the Crown races were finished at 10:30 Saturday vs. 11 on Friday. Â That needs to be addressed with Fox if they are willing to be helpful.
I give Scioto A+ for the facility, including PA sound volume and clarity, plethora of monitors, and viewing options. Â They could have done better with staffing and overall hospitality. Â I donât understand why the tracks donât go full court press to try to convert the âeveryday personâ into a more loyal follower. Â They probably could have recruited volunteer concierge like people from OHHA to serve in those roles. Knit picking a little, but if you werenât a major player then nobody from the track or industry even tries to greet you or engage in any way. Â Itâs a shame, because those are the folks that might show up throughout a season. Â Throw them a few tokens to get them back or produce some fun entertainment in the down periods.
