Toledo gets a bad rap about a lot of things and rightfully so, but both their zoo and art museum are ranked amongst the best in the country. And don't forget Cedar Point if you're into amusement parks.

Toledo gets a bad rap about a lot of things and rightfully so, but both their zoo and art museum are ranked amongst the best in the country. And don't forget Cedar Point if you're into amusement parks.

The Jug cards I completely agree. The Ohio program is great but being continuously pounded with non winners of a peanut butter sandwich. Enough. This is why The Red Mile card will always be better. Less is MORE!!!!

To be fair Ed you left before the two best cards of the week, and you left before Big Ranger showed his talent on Tuesday. He has the “it” factor for sure. Much of Monday and Tuesday are baby trotters ranging from fair thru Buckeye and Ohio Breeders Championships. Freshmen trotters on a sloppy to good surface is a recipe for non competitive racing. The pacers put on a much better show Wednesday with the improving conditions. It is and has always been an Ohio centered focus with the obvious Grand Circuit mixed in on Wednesday and Thursday. Plus, the older I get, the less magical events become. It still is one of the handful of events in our sport in North America where the spectators outnumber the participants.

The saying if you stand for nothing you fall for anything comes to mind. The place is in decline. It's sad.
