Are you ready?  

  • 20 races today
  • 20 races Monday
  • 21 races Tuesday!

I hope y'all got plenty of sleep.  And if you really got a good night's sleep last night, there's exciting racing at The Red Mile tonight, where it will hit a balmy 96 degrees at 4:00 PM today.  The forecast for Jug week is decidedly cooler, with chances of rain throughout.

I'm watching the OHHA feed...  I feel like I'm there in person.  I can't take any more.  I'm stepping away for the second time already today.  I'll probably come back to watch the races from the Red Mile.  In the interim, I'm going to look for cotton candy!

Also watching OHHA feed today on the TV and Red Mile on my I Pad.  Sick of this heat, so I am going to stay put in the AC instead of going to the track today.

Tomorrow is travel day back to Delaware.  If weather is dry in the afternoon, I might walk over for the later races.  Love the forecast for Thursday.  It will feel like fall…my favorite season.

The “Buckeye”, David Miller had a good day at Delaware, and he was scheduled to hop a plane for Lexington.  But he didn’t make it.  Hope he is ok.  He deserves to slow it down.

Perfect Instead coming to the start.  She flew three-wide down the back stretch, but the winner was too tough, and Perfect Instead finished second.

It's been a good day of racing in less than ideal conditions.  Jolene Hall, Perfect Instead, and Judi's Moni all raced well.

Also, I got to try some pretty good fair cuisine.
