I feel now what the rest of the world has known.  I have to say, I prefer this version of football now over the American game.  It is a beautiful game.

Glad y'all seem to like it. In some countries football is more like a religion. Which sounds like a cliché but is very much the case. Once you start seeing the different tactics and how some teams move, it really takes on a new level.

It's a live chess match!  Poetry in motion.  Always thinking a few steps ahead, and the teamwork is incredible.

And today a final worthy match between France and Marocco! I am excited to watch it, a large amount of talented players will be on the pitch.

What I like most about it even with the stupid hydration breaks is the lack of commercials. In the U.S. a football game takes well over three hours to play with only about twelve-fifteen minutes of actual action. Here the ball is always in motion. It just has a better flow. If I didn't have Red Zone I'd fall asleep watching just one NFL game.

I don't think I even know about soccer growing up. My HS did not have it. I did go a few world cup games in 1994, just because it seemed it would be a fun event. Did not follow it after that, until my kids started playing. I had no clue what was going on so I started to watch European leagues on TV.

The less than two hours to watch a game was great. I was a huge baseball fan , with football second. Started watching less and less and now it is only soccer and horse racing. I still cannot figure all the strategy and movement, but i get a better feel for it now.

At one point a long time age switched to Dish so I could get BEIN (a soccer centric channel) and I think what was Horse racing Network (which turned into TVG) Later after cutting the cord, i went with Fubo.

When kids went to college I started watching less and dumped Fubo. I have Peacock so I can get the EPL,  the World Cup is spurring me to get back into soccer a bit more. With Peacock I have been watching the World Cup in Spanish.

Love it!

Especially the Spanish subtitles for a Spanish-speaking broadcast.  Priceless!

The announcer will never get his voice back again LOL

We're now down to six teams.  One semifinal is set.  France v Spain.  It should be a classic.

What's really classic is that no one has been eliminated from the contest.  Yet!

Why did Belgium pull the goalie? The first goalie was pissed. Tears. But a team player.
