Example #2 of mispent youth:

Attending Hofstra University in Uniondale, NY, a mere stone's throw from Roosevelt Raceway, I would go to the track almost every night for the 8th race (when they opened the gates for free... those WERE the days my friends) 'til the end of the card.

Walk in... find a program either on the floor, or from a kind patron as they left. The rest is history.

I'm hoping now that she has a mark on her he lays her off. Nice to see her finally win. Wire to wire in 1:57.3 pretty easily. Tough summer for Zina. Pretty unlucky. Put her away feeling good about herself with a win under her belt.

I forgot how long her campaign has been, starting off in Oak Grove. I'll change my initial thought and hope not to see her in two weeks.

Really excellent video with James on the way to the sale. They bought a MVP today, really liked him in Ohio. Might buy a share or two went pretty cheap.

The last time I was at Cumberland Run they didn't really have a Winner's Circle they just took a picture on the track at the finish line. Now they have a pretty nice backdrop for the pictures but it appear to be along the backstretch near the first turn, I have yet to see anyone other than what would appear to be backstretch help get their picure taken. Hopefully I'll get down there soon and check it out in person (my youngest son lives about 15 miles from there).

I see Kathy still has the boot. Was interesting watching camera follow winner on outside of track. Then a winner's circle appeared.
