The 2025 Little Brown Jug
Quote from Purple Aura on August 21, 2025, 1:23 PMOur paths will cross Lonnie. There will be about 100 people there. It's what I like most about the Delaware County Fairground early in the week. No people. ð

Quote from Bgtolex25 on August 22, 2025, 8:25 AMMy schedule for Jug period:
Thursday and Friday at Ohio Select Sale. Â On the fence about buying in and will be interesting to see the demand this year given the overall slump. Â But I do want to experience the AMac and his disciples phenomenon. Â Should be educational.
Sunday at Red Mile for Championship Series finals. Â Monday too if Jolene Hall makes the Commonwealth final.
Tuesday-Thursday at Delaware.
@lonnie and @factlaw  Tell Carmelo that he will be missed.
Be sure to watch for the morning OHHA speaker series over by the Log Cabin. Â They do an excellent job of getting us some inside thoughts of the trainers and drivers. Â We are spoiled by AMacâs videos, but it is great to hear from others. Â Count me as a big Dr. Ian Moore fan after attending his session last year.

Quote from Lonnie on August 22, 2025, 11:28 AMWe may see you in Lexington on Sunday. We are flying out before the rooster cackles on Sunday morning. It's a 5:40 AM flight.
The draws for Sunday will determine where we go on Sunday afternoon/evening.

Quote from Bgtolex25 on September 6, 2025, 5:22 PMLooks like Louprint and Prince Hal Hanover are in fine form and well targeted for a LBJ showdown. Â They battled today in PASS final and went 1/2 in 1:48.4. Â Burke and Dr. Moore both love the Jug. Â Remember, we get the privilege of visiting the Jug and Jugette barns during the days leading up to the races.

I'll be at the barn at Northfield Saturday morning, and will see the races there that evening.

We will be at Delaware from Sunday to Thursday to catch all the festivities! If we have a horse at Northfield Park on Sunday, we will likely go there after Delaware in the afternoon.

Will be at the Red Mile Sunday.  Jailbird Jog has the rail.  Come on Bionic ManâŠget her home for the 50% of the 400k.  I want to join Eric and Cathy and hopefully many more in that winnerâs circle.
Leaving for Delaware on Monday. Â Hopefully, will look you up mid afternoon; otherwise, will see you Tuesday.
Very minimal showing by TheStable at the Ohio Select Sale inspection day today. Â It was me and one other partner along with Anthony. Â One of the major players showed up very, very late. Â Unsure if he did an independent inspection. None of the buckets are half sold, so I donât know what that means. Â AMac was responsive to my questions and probing. Â Kudos. Â Didnât necessarily agree with a good number of his observations, but I am no expert and need to assess accordingly. Â Very few of the trainers put a finger on a horse, which included AMac in his flip flops. Different from the olden days of the 70âs and 80âs when the yearlings felt violated each time they were inspected. Â Just stating my observations and past experiences as a member of the consignors.Â
And Brian Brown is one of the truly best in the business. Â What a gentleman.

Quote from Lonnie on September 11, 2025, 8:13 PMAwesome! I'm surprised it was such a slim turnout. Perhaps correlated to the low participation in the buckets?
We will be in our usual spot in the grandstand Sunday through Thursday (depending on seat availability). The weather is going to be hot, Hot, and HOTTER. Bring a good hat and plenty of sunblock.
I just posted a new thread inquiring about dinner one night during Jug week. Chinese food! Everyone is invited.
