Quote from Lonnie on October 2, 2026, 2:32 PMQuote from MaywoodAl on October 1, 2026, 7:17 PMI guess I can't read a calendar. I am heading to Florida tomorrow after work. Hopefully at The Red Mile, Saturday Oct 3rd. I better check that my plane reservation to come home is the correct day!
@maywoodal, would you like us to send you a reminder of your return flight a day in advance?

Quote from Bgtolex25 on October 3, 2026, 8:57 PMSome photos today from The Red Mile.
- Beau Jangles - gosh, is he a good looking horse. 1:47.2 on predominantly an engine trip. Here is James giving a post race interview. It was a popular win.
- Brandon Blvd post race after a bit of a tougher and sustained first over move to the 1/2. Dead game with horses taking shots at him in the stretch. Also in 1:47.2
- Nix Nacken #1, swooping up to take the KY Futurity in 1:50. Hambo winner Apex broke at the start and Big Ranger was used hard early to make the lead. He held game midway thru stretch before being eased after getting swallowed up by the top 5.
Beautiful day after yesterday’s rains. Track crew did a great job of scraping the clay surface before ample sunshine and a steady breeze did the rest.

Thank you for sharing. Very exciting racing today at The Red Mile!
I hope we will see Beau vs. Brandon Blvd vs. Odds On Mr Mamba in the Breeders' Crown. That would be a must-see race!

Quote from Bgtolex25 on October 3, 2026, 9:19 PMDon’t leave out Red Rocket Man. He would have to be supplemented, but he is the real deal.
Watching those Dayton races tonight. Great card of old pacers and trotters. Let’s move away from emphasis on 2 year olds, so we get more aged behemoths like this.

Oh... that would make the Breeders' Crown races incredible beyond belief!

Quote from Bgtolex25 on October 4, 2026, 8:05 PMI will look for them. Seems like they have low keyed it more this year, but that could be my lack of interest. I didn’t see any big presence at Circleville other than Hutchison and Dr. Marcia, and she was there to coordinate the freeze branding.
Monday nights at Fasig are special. Besides the happy hour from 5-7 pm, the “purple” bloods are selling, especially the trotters. There was definitely a European presence at Saturday’s races and anticipate them to be active Monday.
