The Red Mile

I like my remedy more. Can't play tournament residents of Michigan and Washington ineligible. WTF?

Andy Miller on Zina. Is there a vomit emoji? I guess price wise she should go up. Personally not a big Andy miller fan but I will be in the first race on Monday.

I will be there. At least the other three have top tier drivers. ( But Zina is the only one I have a share in)

@maywoodal

We haven’t met in person.  I tell you what.  To make it easier to recognize me and so I don’t clash with the Orange Crush in the winners circle in the 1st, I will wear a long sleeve orange shirt, black hat and probably black shorts.

I hope all of you are in the winners circle tomorrow. I don't want to make it sound like I think Andy Miller sucks. Not the case. If he isn't in the HOF he will be and it's deserved. Along with his wife Julie. However many races Andy has won in my opinion most of them were 10 years ago or longer. I'd rather have a younger guy in the bike who's building a resume. Not a paint by numbers steer. Looking further in the card I saw Marvin Luna is there. He would probably be my personal preference. Looking back Andy is fine, he will protect Zina. But tomorrow in this one race I'd rather have a younger guy trying to prove something. What do you guys think? Looking at the race card who would you prefer drives Zina tomorrow?

I like Atlee Bender.

Julie Miller is a favorite in the industry, so my perspective is clouded.  But Atlee and Marvin would be good choices.   I just want to get in that Red Mile winners circle and don’t care what coattails that I am riding.  If it is with Al and Ed, it will be epic.  Best to all of you.  See you tomorrow Al.

I thought it was a bad omen for Jolene Hall as soon as I saw Gabe Prewitt picked her to win.

Again, the racing for TheStable didn’t match the weather and good company.  @maywoodal It was a pleasure getting to hang out and hope that I didn’t overwhelm you with my views
a little over the top sometimes.

I showed Al the barn area and we got to see the girls up close.  Eric and Cathy were again very engaging, open to our questions and forthcoming with information.  TheStable has a great asset with that couple.

You know the saying, “never meet your heroes because they will disappoint you.”  We had the briefest encounter with Julie Miller, and she smashed that saying into oblivion.  What an upbeat, humble human being.  The industry needs to market that personality to the fullest.

Drove home down Old Frankfort Hwy and saw beautiful mares and foals, probably thoroughbreds.  I love where I live.

Next week I will be at the Ohio Select Sale for Thursday inspection day, picking AMac’s brain.  He will be tired of me by day’s end.  Friday sale.  Back to Red Mile for Sunday, maybe Monday.  Then to Delaware Tuesday-Thursday.  BE THERE!
