The "New" Belmont Park

Crazy pricing!  What do you think?

https://amp.horseracingnation.com/news/NYRA_sets_ticketing_plans_for_new_Belmont_Park_123

Ticket sales are now open.  I seriously considered going to opening day.  But when it came to placing the order for the $50.00 tickets (includes parking, food credit, program, and admission), they added over a 15% service fee.

The price alone was egregious.  The fee makes it preposterous.

I'll sit this one out.

I assume Saratoga is crowded. Maybe with Belmont being the new shiny penny, perhaps crowds at the beginning. From watching in the past it seemed Belmont/Aqueduct were sparsely atteneded.

Churchill charges admission despite usually no one being there except for Kentucky Derby week.

Santa Anita was $10 for admission and a useless program. But place usually has nice crowds, so seems fair.

I have never been to the Saratoga flats track.  They only run six weeks there, so it's kind a special thing.

I don't see the same crowd showing up regularly at Belmont Park.  Perhaps the first week or two.

I hope I am wrong.
