Mbappe is amazing. I'm not sure he's the best player on his team. Dembele is also amazing. I think I like midfielders more than strikers that could be the reason I feel like I do. Looking forward to the final.

My favourite players to watch are fast wingers. One of my all time favourites to watch play was Ronaldinho.

I get it. When I watched England I thought Kane was really good but in my eyes Bellingham was the best player on the team. Four hour pregame show? It's like the Super Bowl. I tell my friends and it always pisses them off that the last World Cup Final was better than any Super Bowl.

Kane is a wonderful striker, in the conversation for best striker in the world right now. But Jude, what a player. My favourite of the England Squad together with Saka and Rice. My introduction to Bellingham was in 2020 when he and Erling Haaland played together at Borussia Dortmund in Germany. What a team that was.

¡VIVA ESPAÑA!

Congrats to Spain. Well deserved win.  I watched the game in Spanish which I thought made my viewing pleasure better. Argentina knew they were outmatched and pretty classless in my eyes. Today's Wordle word seems to be right up their alley. So who won the contest? Smirks.     🙂

The South American teams have traditionally been a dirty bunch, but this Argentinian team takes the cake for filthiness , and they complained about each and every call! I used to love the World Cup, but it’s becoming as genuine as WWF

We learned that the hard way in 2022...

I think today's wordle word can be used to describe both teams.  Olmo put on a few spectacular flops. Need to devise a drinking game on how many complete rolls a player makes after being touched.

I did give him a lot of points on his artistry.  That was impressive.   So was Spain.

I still have to go through the entries and determine who won the contest.  Sorry for the delay.  I've been crying for Argentina.  They were supposed to be immortal.  But Spain played the game (and tournament) for the ages.

The last World Cup final was the best soccer/football game I have ever seen.

Funny, you should mention that.  I watched almost every game from the Round of 32 to the Final, and I was saying to myself, this IS better than NFL football!

Not a soccer/football guy, because it was non-existent in the States during my formative years.  And I have shed just about every sport except harness racing, college football and golf (almost kicked that to the curb when LIV came around, but fortunately they are not paying their bills and won’t make it to year’s end).

Not a hockey guy either, but respect the hell out of the participants.  I guarantee if someone flops on the ice, there will be bloodshed and teeth displacement.
