The whole card was a snoozefest.  But from what I could see and hear, it looked like a great day was had by all on Jug Day.

30,000 people… so argue that it is more or less.  It still blows away any attendance card in the sport in North America.  The card’s performance level is leaps and bounds beyond the next best venue at The Gold Cup & Saucer.  If we got one horse, Brandon Blvd. and put up a single hospitality tent that catered to the hard core gamblers with amenities that I am not able to articulate, what more could you want?

If you like fair racing, then show up for the Sunday thru Tuesday cards.  You will get fair racing plus a bonus of some higher quality horses in the OBCs and Buckeyes (Grassroots) events.  And don’t tell me it was better before, because I know it was full of overnight events.  Jug Day too.  It was never a Breeder’s Crown card.
